Team Mertacor wins 1st place in TAC Ad Auctions competition
Team Mertacor finished 1st in the Trading Agent Competition (TAC) 2012 - Ad Auction game that took place in the international conference for Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (AAMAS) in Valencia.
Paper published in the "Soft Computing" journal
The article entitled Clustering-based initialization of Learning Classifier Systems by F. A. Tzima, P. A. Mitkas and J. B. Theocharis has now been published in the following paginated issue of Soft Computing: Volume 16, Issue 7 (2012), Page 1267-1286.
Invited Software Engineering Talks
Two talks, on the 7th and the 8th of April, will be given by Professor Gonzalo Genova, from Universidad Carlos III Madrid on “Modeling languages in Software Engineering”.
- The first talk, on Thursday 7/4, 9:00-11:00, will be given at the General Assembly room of the department with the subject: “Models and modeling languages in Software Engineering: the difference between analysis and design”.
- The second talk, on Friday 8/4, 10:00-12:00, will be given at the General Assembly room of the department with the subject: “Models and modeling languages in Software Engineering: syntactic and semantic issues”.

The paper entitled “A Correlation Analysis of Social Media”, by Vavliakis, K. N., Gemenetzi, K. and Mitkas, P. A. was accepted at the International Conference on Web Intelligence, Mining and Semantics (WIMS'11).
Team Mertacor on NET channel today
Mertacor Team will be presented on NET channel at the “Reportage without Frontiers” TV show in a documentary entitled “The Other Greece”, Part B, at 23:00 today, the 12th of January 2011.
Yesterday, Fani Tzima and Kyriakos Chatzidimitriou were on the discussion panels of the event: “The Relation of Research and Education to the Social and Economic Growth - Proposals for the Future”, organised by Technopolis, Thessaloniki and CERTH.
