Mertacor

Welcome to the home page of Mertacor, our agent participating since 2003 in the games organized by the Trading Agent Competition (TAC) community. More information about the competitions and the community can be found at the Trading Agent Competition site and the TAC association for Trading Agent Research.

Mertacor was the first place winner of the market design game and the third place finalist in the ad auctions game of the 11th Trading Agent Competition (TAC-2010), which was held in Harvard University, Massachusetts (7-11 Jun., 2010), within the context of the 11th ACM Conference on Electronic Commerce (EC'10).

Mertacor was the first place winner of the classic game and the third place finalist in the SCM game of the 6th Trading Agent Competition (TAC-2005), which was held in Edinburgh, Scotland (1-3 Aug., 2005), within the context of the 19th International Joint Conference in Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI-05).

The name of Mertacor comes from the latin word Mercator, which means trader. Since the scope of TAC is trading, such a name would suit our agent just right…

Team members associated with Mertacor design can be reached at the email address:

Below one can find the history of agent Mertacor in the TAC, along with publications resulted from this effort.
