Description

eTHMMY is a software platform for the electronic support of all the educational activities of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University. Developed under the EPEAEK II national program, eTHMMY started out in 2003 and was completed in 2006.

Scope

The goal of the project was to provide a tool for supporting all the educational needs that may arise in the educational process. eTHMMY currently supports:

  • Different roles with different access level (admin, educator, student, guest)
  • Course management (announcements, download course material etc)
  • Electonic Examinations / Student self-evaluation

Technologies

eTHMMY was developed using the Java programming language and Jakarta Struts.

Some Statistics

During the academic year 2003-2004, eTHMMY contained 66 different courses of the department, and it was used by over 1000 students and 60 educators. Currently, those numbers are 95 courses, over 2000 students and nearly 100 educators.
